Dr Charles E. Morrison is the President, East-West Center in Washington, D.C..  He has served in this role since 1998. He is the International chair of the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC) and the founding member of the U.S. Asia Pacific Council and the U.S. National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation.  Dr. Morrison is a member of the U.S. Committee for Security Cooperation in Asia Pacific and a former U.S. Senate aide. He holds a Ph.D. in international relations from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
