About the speaker
Fiona is currently managing business development for Proximity Designs—a social enterprise in Myanmar that designs, produces, and delivers affordable products and services for smallholder farmers. Fiona’s interest in innovative approaches to economic development and South East Asia stems from working with Cambodia’s first mobile banking company, WING. After which she spent several years consulting on access to, and regulation of, affordable infrastructure with Castalia Strategic Advisors in Wellington. Prior to moving to Myanmar, Fiona completed a Masters in Development Studies at the University of Cambridge, and also holds a BA/BCom in Economics from the University of Auckland.
