David Capie

David Capie is an Associate Professor in International Relations and the Director of the Centre for Strategic Studies New Zealand. His research interests focus on conflict and security issues, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region, and New Zealand’s foreign relations. He has authored or co-authored three books and numerous articles and book chapters. His research has been supported by the Rockefeller Foundation, the East-West Center and the Royal Society of New Zealand’s Marsden Fund. In 2007, he was a Visiting Scholar at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University.
