Mr Harris’ most recent assignment was completed in March, as Chief of Party (Head) of the USAID-Counterpart International Dialogue Initiative Project in Kazakhstan.
He undertook Chief of Party assignments for USAID in Cambodia (on the Justice Sector and Human Rights, 2005-2007) and Indonesia (on Civil Society, 1999-2004).
In 1994-1999 he was the founding director of two institutions in New Zealand, the Asia New Zealand foundation (formerly known as the Asia 2000 Foundation of New Zealand) and the Asian Studies Institute at Victoria University of Wellington.
