H.E. Mr Andrey Tatarinov, Ambasador of the Russian Federation to New Zealand

Curriculum Vitae:

Born in 1951.

Graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 1973.
Speaks English, Vietnamese and French.

Began his diplomatic career in 1973.

Served at the Russian embassies in Vietnam (1973-1977; 1982-1988) and Thailand (1992-1997).

2001-2004 – Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Vietnam.

2004-2008 – Deputy Director, Department of ASEAN Member States and Common Asian Problems, MFA of Russia and concurrently Special Representative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia on ASEAN Member States and South Pacific Countries (from 2004 till present time).

Since January 2008 – Director, Department of the Asia-Pacific Region, MFA of Russia.

Holds the diplomatic rank of Minister Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of First Class.

Married. Has a son.
