Asia Forum has been grateful that, since its inception 20 years ago, former Governors-General including the Right Honourable Dame Silvia Cartwright have been supportive of the Forum, and the Right Honourable Sir Anand Satyanand and Lt General the Right Honourable Sir Jerry Mateparae both honoured the Forum with their patronage.
Following her appointment as the new Governor-General earlier this year, Asia Forum wrote to the Right Honourable Dame Patsy Reddy inviting her to extend her Vice-Regal patronage to Asia Forum. Asia Forum is delighted to have now received written confirmation of her acceptance as its Patron. Her Excellency has graciously agreed that Vice-Regal patronage will help support Asia Forum in its goal of further strengthening and enhancing New Zealand’s key achievements in Asia over the years.
Asia Forum will look forward to providing an opportunity at a future date for Her Excellency Dame Patsy Reddy to present her own thoughts about current and future engagements between New Zealand and Asian countries.
